Martina | String of Pearls | Hanging Rosary Plant

Martina | String of Pearls | Hanging Rosary Plant

Native to the South West Africa, this beauty is used to creeping along the ground with her long green vines.   Her spherical, pea like leaves make her a real showstopper of a plant especically as she grows and cascades down your plant pot

She loves a bright sunny spot and not too much water as she's a type of succulent.  makes a real style statement sitting on a shelf or hanging in a planter or basket.

Martina comes in a plastic growing pot complete with removable hanger.  She looks gorgeous in a pot, with room to tumble over the side of a bookcase or table or hanging from a macrame plant hanger for that mid-century vibe.  Her growing pot is 11cm and she would fit best in a 15cm pot as the hanging pot is quite chunky.  If you repot into a standard plastic pot, she'll fit nito one of our lovely hanging planters!

Just like all our plants, Martina is named after an inspiring woman - this time, it's Martina Navratalova, celebrated sportswoman and tennis hero and LGBT activist.

String of Pearls plants are native to South West Africac, a warm and dry climate where they often grow in rocky outcrops.

She loves bright sunlight (but avoid super strong direct sun).  Treat as with all succulents when watering - let the soil dry out first, overwatering is generally the worst thing you can do for this type of plant.

Give her a trim if she gets 'leggy' and create new baby Martinas from your cuttings to give to friends!

String of Pearl plants are toxic if eaten so keep away from your fluffy (or not so!) family members if they like to nibble.
