Wedding Flowers for Alex and James Marquee Wedding

We were absolutely delighted to be asked to bring Alex’s dream to life for her wedding flowers at her stunning wedding in Dorset.

Alex was a super chilled bride and gave us a colour scheme of beautiful bold flowers and a pretty free reign!  We worked on some ideas and came up with a really exciting final design for the flowers. James is a serving officer in the Army which mean there were more swords than I had ever seen at a wedding!

The venue was absolutely incredible.  It was quite far from London where I usually work which meant a change of setup but I was given my very own barn to create the wedding flowers in which was perfect!  The ceremony took place in a gorgeous village church and the reception in a huge marquee at the groom's family dairy farm with the most incredible show gardens (florist heaven!)  Due to the location, we decided to bring a couple of milk churns in for the entrance flowers which I sourced from the lovely Jules at All About Brides and they were absolutely perfect.

Alex opted for a bright, bold, seasonal selection of flowers, particularly for her bridal bouquet and her bridesmaids bouquets.  Her colour scheme was deliberately pale blues and white which really let the flowers stand out.

Alex also wanted us to bring the outside in, celebrating the stunning location and beautiful wildflowers growing around the farm.  I created little clusters of wild Queen Anne’s Lace flowers to form pew ends along the aisle of the church which matched beautifully the delicate embroidery of her veil and dress.

After a beautiful ceremony, we bought the milk churns from the church over to the marquee where they created the perfect entrance.
