After years working in the corporate world, I was yearning for a creative outlet. On what would turn out to be the most significant whim of my life, I enrolled in a floristry course, and something in my brain clicked into place. Flowers slowly took over my life and my home, and it very quickly became apparent that working as a florist was the career path meant for me.
My designs are flowers with character. I love getting to know each of the couples I work with, to find ways of bringing their personality to the Bouquets, arrangements and installations I create. Far from insipid arrangements sitting forlorn in a corner, I bring abundant colour, texture and fashion-forward flair to your wedding flowers.
I’m based in London, the city has cast a bit of a spell – but love to travel and am always happy to discover stunning new venues across the country. One day, when London releases its hold over me, you’ll find me in a lusciously overgrown garden filled with fragrant flowers, with my own studio at the bottom of it, a small-but-feisty dog curled up at my feet while I work, and a warm and welcoming house with open fires and comfy sofas. That’s the dream!
I can’t wait to hear about your own dreams for the future, and what married life will hold for you. Get in touch for a consultation, and let’s start designing a bold and beautiful suite of flowers that will make a fitting start to your lives’ exciting new chapter.
I’m Gemma, the owner and creative florist behind Iris & Co.
Iris was my Nan – a beautiful soul with exactly the right balance of gentle twinkle and stubborn fire. Growing up, she was my constant champion.
With Iris & Co, I chose to plant my opportunity and watch it grow. The name for the business felt like the most natural choice in the world. I’m so happy to be taking Nan with me on this floral journey of mine and I hope that I can make her proud.
Now you know all about me, I want to introduce you to Iris.
With her signature blend of kind heart and no-nonsense attitude, she would counsel me not to let a single opportunity pass me by.
